According to LGJ5 (pg 15), the Ikayal Strait is the site of the Battle Beneath the Waves (436 CY). Supposedly, the waters here are quite shallow.

That is the only published reference to this strait that I could find. However, LGG 138 states that the Battle Beneath the Waves was against "Zeif's assembled fleet in the Qayah-Bureis islands." This does not mean that the Ikayal Strait is located in that island group, but it could be. Two articles on this site have assumed this to be true ("The Pinnacles of Azor'alq, part 2" and "Komal").

Q#1: Does anyone know of other references to this strait?
Q#2: Is anyone aware of a map that names Ikayal Strait?
Q#3: Is there a map of the Qayah-Bureis?

Wow, I had never seen the Players Guide to Zeif before. This as far as I can tell is the best document on Zeif outside the LGJ 5 article. So I'm sorry EP if I don't have any answers for you...yet. The LGG map has all the Dramidj island chains but I can't think of anyone having done closer views of these isles unless Living Greyhawk has some mods involving them? I suggest this PDF to anyone doing Baklunish campaigning, it's quite comprehensive.

Much thanks! The only things I wish the article had was some sort of source annotation- footnotes of cited sources, etc.
