"Sleeper in the Tomb of Dreams" and Bad Deep

A new 4th edition adventure in the online Dungeon requires a haunted forest that's the site of an ancient battle between two evil armies; the undead forms of those who fell in the carnage still arise when blood is spilled in the area.

It's not a Greyhawk adventure, but it seems a close enough fit that I think it could be placed around Bad Deep. Some changes would have to be made, of course: change "a hundred years ago" to "a thousand years ago," change "the Raven Queen" to Wee Jas or possibly Istus, and the leaders of the two armies both identified as sons of Carashast.

For me, it would be Istus, but apart from that, I think the concept you describe works well.

Not that I like 4e at all, but this adventure is workable. Smile

For all my years in Greyhawk, I am lost; Bad Deep? No help when I searched CF...

EDIT: never mind; I found it on the wiki...

I skimmed it. The intro sounded interesting, but I didn't bother going over it in detail as I assumed the coversion from 4e would be too hard. From what I've read, 4e isn't exactly backwards compatible.

I'd ignore the stats entirely and swipe statistics from whatever game system you're using. Like, "Oh, I need a zombie horse here, so I'll slap the zombie template on a regular horse." Or, "I need a low-level wizard here, so I'll grab a pre-made one from this other adventure." Or, "My campaign isn't chock-full of tieflings, so the tiefling shadowblades will be replaced with human and half-orc rogues."
