An obscure wizard from Niole Dra!

From Ed Greenwood and Dragon #158 -

Elminster said, “Ye knew Tsunroon, did ye not?”
Mordenkainen replied, “Tsunroon the Traveler? The one who had a tower in the Drachensgrab Hills, and blasted it to dust when his apprentices tried to rob him, with them inside?”
“Aye. Ye know he went walking the worlds for a time, after that?”
Mordenkainen nodded. “He’s back in the Flanaess now, around Niole Dra.”
Elminster sucked on his pipe. “Aye. Not surprising he’s scuttled for home. He ran afoul of the Alhoon in the Realms not long ago.”

I assume that Mr. Greenwood makes note of him for a reason, perhaps setting up something for later. Is there any additional info. on Tsunroon? Do you have any speculations?

I didn’t find Tsunroon in either the Greyhawk wiki or in Jason Zavoda’s index, so my hunch is that he was created for the article.

Ed appears on Jay’s shows with some regularity, so someone could ask him there, I imagine.

Best bit of canon Greenwood has ever written for GH and super overlooked. Was never mentioned again in any other sources. I'm the only one who's brought Tsunroon up on these forums a couple times.

Thanks to both Grodog and Vestcoat.

I assumed as much, but I hoped for more. It's not much info to build on, but I'll march on and do my best with this obscure planeswalker.
