Well after 21 years working in IT/IS it's something I don't accept :-)
Someone has broken part of the phpBB implementation, but it can be fixed. It shouldn't be that hard... Well it's not that hard to fix under SMF and my understanding of phpBB is that it's not too different...

Post subject: Forum bugs
I'm finding it a bit trying to use the forums due to a couple of apparent bugs.
1.
New Posts
aren't staying "new". That is, the forums main page shows sub-forums as having new posts. But opening the forum itself shows no new posts. Looking at the latest post dates shows that threads actually do contain new posts since my last visit. It's as though hitting the main forum page marks all forums as read behind the scenes.
2. Clicking
Posts Since You last visited
on the main forum page always
No topics or posts met your search criteria
. This is probably related to number 1 above.
I'm getting this using both Firefox 24.0 and 25.0.1.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
