I'm DMing a group through ToEE using 3.5e rules; we're playing on-line using the Fantasy Grounds VTT (highly recommended to anyone who finds themselves without a local face-to-face group).

I'd say this is a natural ability that can't be caught by Detect Magic.

As others have said, there are other ways of finding it out though.

I went with I think the 24"x36" option in full color and laminated.
