    Deity question

Hi everyone. I'm a medium-time lurker, first-time poster. I was thinking of including the deity Stratis from chainmail in my GH campaign, but I lack some of the information that was published in Dragon, and was wondering ifanyone could help me with some of his data (some of this info was taken from chatdemon's article "Forgotten Gods of the Suloise").

    Stratis*
    The Duelist, The Wardrake
    Demigod
    Symbol: Helmeted silhouette w/ spear?.
Home Plane: Infernal Battlefield of Acheron?
    Alignment: Lawful neutral
    Portfolio: Combat, dueling, soldiers.
Worshippers: Soldiers, mercenaries, all who live by the sword.
    Cleric Alignments: LG, LN, LE
    Domains: Destruction/Strength, Law, War?**
    Favored Weapon: Shortspear?
    *Killed in approx. 587 C.Y.?
**I'm using rules from Deities and Demigods, so unless he gets promoted to at least Lesser Deity, only 3 domains for him ;)

So, what do you think? Comments? Anyone who can clarify the "?" areas?

    Thanks in advance

Check out this thread here on CF!. (and the thread on WOtC that i link to there..)

Stratis is the half brother of Hextor and Heironeous. As such he should reflect the neutral part of their duality.

    Heironeous: Good, Law, War
optional/additional domains: Courage, Glory, Inquisition, Nobility
portfolio: Chivalry, Justice, Honor, War, Daring, Valor

Hextor : Destruction, Evil, Law, War
    optional/additional domains: Competition, Domination, Tyranny
portfolio: War, Discord, Massacres, Conflict, Fitness, Tyranny

so going from there i'd say:
Stratis: Law, War, perhaps Strength but not destruction.
    opt/add: perhaps Celerity? or Competition.

Since I havn't got that Dragon article that's all help i can think of.

    .

Oh and check out this article by Chatdemon:
    http://www.canonfire.com/cf/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=114

It proposes the following Domains: (identical for all four sects) Destruction, Strength, War, Celerity, Glory

As for favored weapons there are four different ones, one for each sect.

If you want to do complete Deity stats, check out Dicefreaks versions of Heironeous and Hextor.

I'd probably build Stratis as Ftr30/Duelist20 and give him lots of tactical feats from CW. (Or Ftr20/Duelist30 ?) And Duelist with the shortspear of course.

    ...think Brad Pitt in Troy.

Thanks for your help. Do you think he would be okay as a demigod, or shoul I "promote" him to a lesser/intermediate deity status?

Well since he is almost forgotten and a real obscure god who wandered off to another pantheon (chainmail lands) and got killed there, i guess a demotion is ok. so i'd probably leave him at demigod status, though perhaps before he was intermediate. Or his brothers simply outdid him by rising to intermediate earlier..
