"Weaponsweb of Istus (no equivelant weapon)"
Any insight as to what the Web of Istus is? Some type of net created by the clergy perhaps? On page 170 of the same book the artist creates an image of a priest devoted to Istus depicting the priest wielding a long scimitar angled, kris type blade. Perhaps this is the Web of Istus?
Just wondering if there are any further known references to this weapon.
I would assume it is non-magical in construct as it is listed as the primary weapon of Istus followers.

the web of Istus (the goddesses favored weapon) is a web of magic that can have any one of many magical affects depending on Istus' whim. (you can read all about Istus and her webs on page 43 of the 1983 glosogpraphy)
when it says (no equivelent weapon) it means that the clergy do not attempt to imulate thier goddess by using the same weapon, and use what ever weapon that they want... I would say that a spiritual weapon spell would look something like a net, but would do the same damage as a normal spiritual weapon spell (1d8 +1/3 levels force damage) and have a threat range of 20 x2
I think unfortunately, that this and other cool material from the now out-of-print 1983 Boxed Set, is not available in the newer books. We Greyhawk fans and writers should keep in mind the large number of GH fans that don't have the old books and can't get them anymore.
Course, it would be wrong to publish those books online verbatim, but perhaps people can post their "own takes" or 3E updated versions. That would be kosher.

I have or have had all the old content from '83 on up, but gave alot of it away and have been rebuilding from "out of print" stores, ebay, and pdfs from svgames mostly.
That said, I agree. Old writers should update new 'hawkers on content that they have a fair grasp on.
