    Gods of the Flanaess: Pelor

Pelor seems like a really pleasent god. Looks like the kind of diety you could sit down with over tea and shortcake. You can't say that about Nerull or St. Cuthbert. Wink

From my reading of the article, Pelor managed to spread over the Flanaess by vitrue of his overall niceness. I don't recall any mention of a Pelor backed order of Paladins, warrior-priests or any other form of sanctioned evil smiters. I'ld have thought that a good aligned religion as extensive as Pelor's would have some form of organisation like this beyond a few fringe sects.

But maybe the guy's just too nice for that kind of thing. Cool

Great article CSL. A couple questions. I'm hazy but who is the deity Titania? Is that a EGG variant name?

Secondly, what would be Pelor's view on clergy using spells like Harm or Cause Wounds even if it were on evil?

Thanks. In regards to the first question, Titania is a goddess of the fairy-folk from the 2E book Monstrous Mythology.

Clergy may use spells like Harm or Cause Wounds if necessary in battle; using them for torture, however, or some related activity, would be wrong. There is nothing inherently good about healing people, and nor is there anything inherently "wrong" about wounding them in combat.
