Changes in level for Super Module A1-A4

I own the Super Module A1-A4 and I know that the levels were adjusted from the original printing so it could be mashed between the T and GDQ series. My question is were there any actual changes in the toughness of the encounters to adjust for the level change?

I don't think they made any adjustments to the original encounters from the modules, but they did add new background info and some new encounters to the super module. Those additional encounters help with more experience and treasure, but I don't think it's a major difference. I played the original modules before I got a copy of the super module so someone else on here might have a different opinion though.

I knew about the additions. I've played through all 4 back in the early '80s and used to have copies of A1 and A2.
