Hi Cebrion.
I agree whole-heartedly. Both the cultures you mentioned are very much under-detailed. If you haven't looked at it already, I strongly recommend you check out the timelines given in Oerth Journal #1. That is what gave me a lot of inspiration for the article in regards to the the Baklinish culture. There is a timeline for the Flan in there as well and, scattered through out the other timelines, are further references.
There is also an update to Len Lakofka's original Suloise timeline in Oerth Journal 11. It concentrates largely on the pre-history regarding the elves, in conjunction with the Suloise history and there may be a few nuggets there to find.
