The price, according to the DMG should be around 10,000 gp, but due to the fairly common occurence of these items in Luscanport (looted off of dead warriors in the jungle), and a 'catch' (which I'll detail when I get around to writing up the next installment of this series) lower the price considerably. If you use the items in the flanaess proper and don't want to wait for the secret catch to be revealed, you could just use the standard price, 10,000 gp.
A specific weapon, "The sword I am holding right now". Losing that weapon, or changing the item's effect to another weapon, requires retuning the item, which requires the same process as using it the first time.
