Re: What is your favorite Greyhawk based adventure/ module. (Score: 1) by Spugnoir on Tue, April 05, 2005 (User Info | Send a Message) | I wanted to vote ToEE, but since "return to" was tacked onto it, I couldn't, in good conscience, vote that way since I hated "Return to". But I ran Isle of the Ape the other night and enjoyed it so I voted "other" I've had the module for years upon years but never ran it because I was a little skeptical it would be any fun. However, both my players and I had a blast with it, 100% fun. Out of the 8 pc's, 4 died in the battle with Oonga but even the players who lost characters were laughing and had a great time. They even chose wisely at the end and avoided the final encounter! |

(Score: 1) by IvorMac on Tue, April 05, 2005 (User Info | Send a Message) | I wanted to vote for GDQ 1-7 but I could not support Libration of Geoff (though part two is good). I wanted to vote for Temple of Elemental Evil but I could not vote for Return to only because the two are not really comparable. If RtToEE had been done as a dungeon unrelated to the original then it would have been much better received in IMHO.
So I will vote for Scourge of the Slavelords just because being the Ghouls captain is so much fun. |

Its nice to know why certain ppl like certain facets of modules. |

Just 'cause they're hard to spell. ;-P |

Re: What is your favorite Greyhawk based adventure/ module. (Score: 1) by GVDammerung on Thu, April 07, 2005 (User Info | Send a Message | Journal) | I voted for Tharizdun with the idea that there should be a slash and note of Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth. Of published materials, I think the Yatil Mountain Suite holds up best. Those Return modules generally didn't do justice to what had gone before and gum-up the works.
I will note, however, that I hated ToEE. It was IMO GH's LoTR - long and dull, even if famous and loved by many. But I adored Hommlet!!! |

Having the oppertunity to modify your adventure with the pre-genertated information was nice.
Let"s not forget Vecna Lives. I have never had a chance to see that one.
