I am going to have to contest this for a start. Both the Xvart and the Kuo-Toa have appeared in the Realms at some point or another, and I can give you a reference for the Kuo-Toa right now. 3rd ed Realms HC campaign setting, page 211 word 3.

Son's of Kyuss are a real favorite of mine. I was surprised to not see them on the list since Kyuss is a Greyhawk specific hero deity.

Are Flinds GH specific? In which manual did they appear first?

And... I suppose beholders don't qualify anymore as "original 'hawkish monsters(TM)", do they?

Flinds first appeared in Fiend Folio, 1E. Not sure if they were originally GH specific or not. In 25, they were in the Complete Humanoid book, which basically makes them generic.

But I still voted for them.... ;)
