To me, the "Age of Glory" era I would be most interested in running something in is the "Barbarian Empire" of the Suelii.

I have recently submitted a map of the Bandit Kingdoms/Shield Lands region to Canonfire!, but lately I have been drawing up a similar looking map of the Thillronian Peninsula. So doing the research about Rhizia has struck a chord for me. I have visions of an era/region with the feel of the Rune (Computer)Role-playing Game.

Age of Glory is the ancient age of Bakluni. In the LGJ 3 (Azor'alq) we learn that the bakluni royal dynasty fled some peril and migrated into the Bakluni bassin. The Hero Azor'alq and his Paladin companions fought terrible foes and allowed the royal family to flee safely.

The only choice is the great Suel empire. Think of all the things that came out of that age. That time and place was the age of POWER. Beautiful buildings, arcane and divine mastery and the knowledge that came from that age. The enslavement of the bakluni people and there eventual freedom, all the way to the Twin Cataclysms if you want. The Suel were the center of the world...

Well an "Age of Glory" campaign needs definition. Greyhawk City is considered the Gem of the Flanaess - as such it automaticly describes the current setting as being the "Glory Age". Putting this aside, it is then evident that the time period in which Greyhawk's power and influence began to rise is then the "Glory Age." This "Glory Age," according to the poll would then be the Founding of the Great Kingdom. That truly would be a "Glory Age." But again, that is not part of the poll, but prior to that, the conquring of the Flanaess by the Oeridians would surely be "Glorious." Conan says something like to drive your ememies before you and "To hear the lamatation of the women." Being in this "Glory Age," you as a PC could do so and carve out the lands that you want and topple the kings and chieftians that you can. Now that is a "glorious" thing.
Besides think of the all the heathens and slaves one could convert to Pholtus....the lands were full of savages.

The Suel Imperium would be fascinating because it is an entirely different from Known Greyhawk, and one could develop all of the wonder of a high-magic setting... Two hundred foot high towers, colossal statues, flying ships, etc.

But it might also be interesting to show what the Flanaess was like one or two thousand years ago, and many of those things of legend could be detailed.

While The Archpriest Yagrax rules from the Isles of Woe, Queen Ehlissa assembles her allies at the white castle in the East, preparing to deal with the Sorcerer King, Acererak. But other danger is the Mage Keraptis, who rules a growing kingdom in the Rakers, and the Olman Empire of Tamoachan sends armies to the north, conquering the Lands of Tdon.

Something like that.

Yeah, I've already commented to Gary about this poll being up way past its bedtime.
How about a Poll based on which is the best way to introduce dwarven mages, psionics, and other oddities offered in 3e? Although CF! is around for all three editions of D&D, this does not have to be a game mechanic question. Something along the lines of Do Dwarves have mages? What canoninical information supports Dwarven Mages? Well besides the Rose Estees books there were sever 2nd edition resources that offered Dwarven Mages and Psionics (and Dwarven Psionics in particular) such as the 1991, 1992, 1994 trading cards.
Or how about a poll on which GH Chick is the hottest, based upon artwork in canonoical books. Unfortunetly most pic's are of the Co8 chick Jazalli [sic] and the old crone in LGG. But this would be an interesting concept and maybe we'd get some of those people that know how to draw to do so for us. If you didn't take canonical only info and used things like the OJ Ron's art on Elcavada [sic], she might win (he made her look HOT!).
Just a few new poll topics.
